Item Description

Gypsum specimens are VERY RARE from the Organ Mountains of New Mexico. This is a spectacular rarity of a large, very sharp, V-twin crystal. Impressively water-clear to translucent, the stout crystal has beautiful amber color. The front and sides are complete, with the back being a cleavage. Very nearly pristine, amazing for such a soft mineral. The razor-edged "V" has trivial termination and side wear. Old-time, rare and desirable large material from the Paul Cowan Collection. A must for the species or New Mexico collector
