Item Description

Beautiful rich green, shimmering, bubbly, velvet malachite botryoids fill a dramatic 9.0 cm across vug in sculptural large malachite matrix on this impressive specimen from this less well-known Chinese skarn and porphyry-type copper-gold deposit. The malachite banding on the vug rim adds pizzazz. The mine is near the better known Liufengshan Mine and produced a big pocket from which this came in about 2005. The mines produce very similar azurite and malachite specimens. This striking and colorful large malachite from the find. Valued at $300-400.
