Large Vivianite from old finds (1980s)!

Gorgeous, gemmy, sea-green to purple, sheaf-like aggregates of large vivianite crystals dramatically fill a large sculptural curved vug on this impressive and aesthetic specimen from Huanuni. The prisms reach at least 8.0 cm on this striking specimen and the color play on the lathes in bright light is mesmerizing. The matrix is interesting in itself, as it is composed of botryoids of either phosphates or ironstone. The Huanuni mine has produced some of the world's finest vivianites and this is an excellent large example with multiple display views. Valued at $1500-2000 for size and richness.
