Item Description

Densely intergrown clusters of parallel-growth, lustrous, tabular, butterscotch-colored wulfenite prisms form an impressive and sculptural large mounded specimen from the historic mines at Mezica. This striking, 360-degree piece is solid wulfenite and is pristine. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 677 and acquired from the Shale's in the 1950s. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Velt" November-December 2017). Classic and very rich large old-time Mezica wulfenite.
