Item Description

We have never seen botryoidal lavender quartz from any worldwide locality and believe it to be unique. This small find is from the more recently opened Nchwaning III Mine. The very showy mounded cluster consists of lustrous, translucent, pleasing lavender quartz balls is beautifully accented with with snow-white calcite. Complete all-around and nearly pristine. Only slight periphery wear to two botryoids is noted, but is a very modest detraction. This is from a brand NEW find and we got all of it - 2 flats. The color is probably due to manganese, but they have not been analysed to date. For total uniqueness, we value this at $1000-1500.
