Item Description

A large miniature / small cabinet sized specimen of the exceedingly rare silicate Lemmleinite(-Ba) from one of only SIX known localities for the species. All specimens of Lemmlein-(Ba) have only been found in Russia, and this species has an equally rare analogue, Lemmlein-(K). The specie was named after Georgy Glebovich Lemmlein, a prominent Soviet crystallographer. This piece hosts dozen of very fine quality, sharp, well-formed, intense orange colored monoclinic crystals of Lemmlein-(Ba) on matrix. Beautiful to view under the microscope, and if you collect rare species, do NOT miss out on this one.
