Lepidolite (rare fine xls) on Microcline

A 7.0 cm striking and aesthetic intergrown cluster of translucent multi-hued lavender layered lepidolite columnals is dramatically perched on a very sharp, large, euhedral, partially etched microcline crystal. The one cleaved columnal reveals the rich color and very high resinous luster of the lepidolite, adding character. This is an impresssive, large, very showy and rare style combination from Coronel Murta. Such crystals are really uncommon and different, for the species, and highly desired by collectors in my experience. Valued $750-950
