Item Description

A gorgeous and highly aesthetic specimen of the rare sodium calcium beryllium silicate species Leucophanite featuring a few pseudo-cubic (orthorhombic), pale yellow color, gemmy crystals measuring up to 5 mm, perched along the prism faces of thin, dark greenish-black crystals of Aegirine (originally labeled as Acmite). Fine quality, very showy and now quite hard to find since collecting at Mont Saint-Hilaire has been notably restricted in recent years. From the collection of Shields Flynn.
