Item Description

PLEASE NOTE: This specimen is accompanied by a label stating it's from Norwood, North Carolina, but it very well could be from nearby Aquadale, which is only about 7 miles to the west. It's a fine quality classic example of these fairly hard to find pieces featuring a "floater" group of what started out as Pyrite crystals, which have been pseudomorphed into rich brown Limonite. The piece is complete on all sides, with no damage anywhere I can find. The original shape of the Pyrite crystals is well-preserved as the edge are sharp and distinct, and you can clearly see the striations on every face. A great piece for any collector or worldwide pseudomorphs or minerals from North Carolina.
