Item Description

Linarite is a well known lead copper sulfate, and the Bingham area is one of the classic localities for the species. Typically Linarite is found as small to microscopic azure blue crystals, either tabular or elongated, in clusters or as crusts. This piece features beautiful, lustrous, electric royal-blue, crystals of Linarite coating an underlying cube of Galena with minor associated Cerussite, colorless Fluorite and minor light green Brochantite forming a striking and colorful specimen from this well-known locality. Great aesthetics, quality and the fact that it's a full sized thumbnail makes it all the mor desirable to me. From the collection of Senator / Dr. Miguel Romero of Teuhuacan, Mexico (Collection #4821).
