Item Description

A very hard to find specimen of Linarite that was labeled as coming from the "Hardluck Mine, near Baker", presumably from Otto Mountain, but it's hard to say for sure. With that said, the piece features a good coverage of hundreds of micro, sparkling, brilliant electric blue colored Linarite crystals coating the host rock matrix. Associated Caledonite can be seen on the specimen as well. If you collect minerals of the United States or specifically California, or worldwide secondary copper-bearing species, don't miss out on this elusive piece of Linarite with Caledonite. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#12769). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
