Item Description

Linarite is a sought after and well-known lead copper sulfate, and the pieces from Bingham are some of the best examples of the species from the Western Hemisphere. This small cabinet specimen hosts a rich coverage of beautiful, lustrous, intense royal-blue crystals of Linarite associated with dark grey cubic Galena plus "stubby" crystals of Quartz and minor mint green Malachite on matrix. You can see nice definition between the crystals, and it's rare to have so many of them on one specimen like this! The combination of strong colors and rare species is always popular in the mineral collecting world, and Linarite certainly meets both criteria. The specimen is from the collection of Bob Whitmore. Priced at $1,500 in the inventory.
