Linarite with Malachite and Cerussite (early 1900s)

A surprise! Here is a very interesting, sparkly green and blue, beautiful Tsumeb piece that was a pleasant surprise to find in the Pohl collection! A coarse latticework of barely discernible, white-gray Cerussite dominates the architecture of the piece which is covered in a relatively heavy druse of fine, bright green, 1 to 2 mm, prismatic Malachite crystals which are are, in a few places inside the triangular vugs, associated with glassy, white, 3 to 5 mm Cerussite crystals. The main feature of this colorful cabinet piece is the abundance of vibrant royal blue Linarite crystals! They are present in every triangular geometric opening on the front of this gorgeous and unique piece, with neon color leaping out in contrast to the green. Clusters and sprays of stunning blue Linarite crystals consist of 3 mm to 1 cm crystals in groups to 1.5 cm across! A fantastic combination piece from Tsumeb! This clearly would be something very old, from the first oxide zone, prior to 1920, at Tsumeb.
