Linnaeite (very rare) (ex Kay Robertson and W. J. Rodekohr Collections)

Item Description

Classic, silvery-grey colored crystals of the rare cobalt sulfide, Linnaite from and undisclosed mine in Musen. The piece does feature some well-formed crystals which is better than I have seen for most pieces of Linnaeite, and although the crystals are small, they can be seen with the naked eye. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#8859) along with a label from the collection of W. J. Rodekohr. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
