Lithiophilite (fine crystal) (ex Shields Flynn Collection)

Item Description

A rarely seen, fine quality, well-formed single crystal of the lithium manganese phosphate, Lithiophilite from the Emmons Quarry near Greenwood, Maine. It's quite hard to find single isolated crystals of this size and quality from any locality, and the Emmons Quarry pieces are some of the best crystallized examples out there. From the collection of Shields Flynn with a label from Ernie Schlichter, who obtained the piece directly from the owner of the quarry, Ray Sprage.
