Londonite (fluorescent)

Londonite is the very rare, cesium-dominant analogue of Rhodizite. Gemmy and lustrous, this sharp, 1.1 cm crystal has well-feined form and edges, and is a pleasing, straw-yellow color. It is aesthetically set on matrix from a quartz-rich pegmatite vein. Often you will see many of these specimens listed as 'Londonite-Rhodozite Series' because these are so similar and share a solid solution series. However, Londonite does have a faint yellow fluorescence as this fine crystal also appears to have, so Londonite gets the nod. Previously in the Phil Scalisi collection.
