Item Description
This excellent thumbnail plate is from the premier US locality for ludlamite, the Blackbird Mine of Idaho. Gemmy and lustrous, pleasing green crystals to 6 mm across are richly scattered on the gossan crust. They have superb euhedral form, are water-clear and sharp. Ludlamite from this locale is world-known as among the best crystals of the species for those characteristics. Old material from the 1950s or 60s. Ex Dick Jones Collection.
