This locality along the Cauaburi River is best known for its beautiful Ludlamite and Vivianite specimens. The Ludlamites are certainly fine quality and stand out as the best known examples from Brazil. This wonderful cabinet sized display piece features a rich dense coverage of sharp, lustrous, gemmy, fine green colored, monoclinic crystals of this beloved phosphate on a layer of host rock matrix. The largest crystal measures 7 mm long. It's important to note that the crystals are lustrous and gemmy, which is not common for Ludlamite from anywhere, as a lot of localities will feature either dull crystals are opaque crystals. Rarely does one find a specimen of this size that is loaded with high quality crystals like this. Priced at $1,500 in our inventory.
