Item Description

A near complete "floater" crystal of semi-metallic, brownish-black colored Magnetite simply labeled as coming from Sverdlovsk Russia. The piece is complete all the way around, though I can see a few tiny imperfections. A great piece for any thumbnail or "black rock" collector. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#11801). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
