Item Description

A true classic from the prolific Copper Queen Mine in Bisbee. Fibrous forest green Malachite and acicular emerald Brochantite are associated with reddish-brown Cuprite, colorless Calcite and what appears to be small white crystallized "balls" of Quartz. Very attractive up close. There is a spot on the specimen where an unidentified micro electric blue colored mineral can be seen (possibly Connellite?). Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#661). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
