Item Description

A unique and unusual departure from the typical and historic Inspiration Pit Chrysocolla and Quartz specimens. This display specimen is almost agate-like with its translucent white, rhythmically banded Quartz center that hosts bright green bands and patches of both Malachite and Chrysocolla. The face is sawn with a good polish and the back of the piece is rough. Slightly translucent to light. This piece comes with two great old labels, one from the collection of Gilbert Stanton indicating that the piece came from the legendary collector Arthur Montgomery (1938) and the other label is from turn of the 20th Century dealer Hugh Ford. Although the labels indicates only Chrysocolla, there is more Malachite than Chrysocolla in this piece. Never seen another like this...!
