Item Description

Beautiful, classic mammillary / botyroidal aggregates of fine green Malachite free of matrix from the world-famous Copper Queen Mine in Bisbee. The piece is in excellent shape on the display side and is a very worthwhile pickup for anybody interested in secondary ore minerals, historic specimens or specifically Bisbee minerals. Good specimens from the Copper Queen are rarely seen on the market these days, and they are highly sought after by collectors. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#3361). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Velt" November-December 2017).
