Item Description

A unique pseudomorph style in terms of paragenesis from this famous extinct Cu-Co mine, worked intermittently and by locals for mineral specimens. This colorful cutie started out as sharp tabular gypsum crystal, which over time pseudomorphed to malachite and then was replaced again by a deposition of brilliant turquoise-blue colored chrysocolla. Finally, beautiful rosettes of starkly contasting tiny sparkly, gemmy emerald-green malachite needles are richly sprinkled on both sides of this exotic two-sided rarity. Arizona copper mines produce examples of this type, but not so sharp as from this modern find. a major, large single crystal. valued $750-1000
