Item Description

A very aesthetic and excellent Touissit pseudomorph of malachite after very sharp azurite crystals nicely set on a bit of matrix. The cluster is beautifully dominated by the tall, blocky, sharply chisel-terminated crystal. The vertical, nifty crystal in front is doubly terminated. This is classic, very fine material from the late 1970s or early 1980s, as the piece comes with a Van Scriver Minerals label of that era with a $200 price. The trivial periphery wear on the lower front of the piece and the out of sight edgewear on the back of the large pseudo have no impact on the overall super quality of this piece. It is certainly worth more than $200 today.
