Malachite ps. Azurite

Item Description

A very nice small cabinet cluster of Malachite completely pseudomorphing Azurite from the now famous Milpillas Mine in Mexico, with crystals to 2.5 cm. Crystal forms are sharp, largely dark green with lighter green highlights and both exhibit silky chatoyancy when the piece is rotated in incident light, absolutely beautiful. This visual contrast is much better in person and this is a very three-dimensional specimen. All crystals are fully terminated and the piece displays exceptionally well. A small piece of white breccia matrix is attached to the back. valued $1250
