Item Description

A classic specimen of Malachite pseudomorphing after Azurite from a 2012 discovery at the famous Milpillas Mine. A few years ago, there were many of these specimens on the market, but now it seems that they are few and far between. This piece features good quality, velvety, dark forest-green Malachite that have altered from preexisting Azurite with minor attached matrix. Very little damage on the display side, and great quality for what it is. We're told that Milpillas is done producing the carbonates, and has made the move to the base metals, meaning that there will be no more Azurites or Malachites available, so get them now while they're out there.
