Item Description

A beautiful specimen of Malachite pseudomorphing after bladed crystals of Azurite from the classic locality at Morenci. The entire piece has been replaced by the forest green Malachite. This area has produced some of the most attractive Azurite and Malachite combinations from any locality in the world. This attractive display specimen is in great shape on the all around, with very little damage. Individual crystals measure up to 1.4 cm across. Very minor matrix can be seen on the underside of the piece. We rarely see good pseudomorphs from Morenci on the market, and if you collect secondary ore minerals, copper species or minerals of Arizona, don't miss out on this striking small cabinet sized display piece for a great price. Valued at $950 in the inventory.
