Item Description

Large, velvety, chatoyant blades of green Malachite which have completely replaced Azurite forming a "fan-like " orientation of crystals. The specimen is good sized, and fairly priced for such a good representation of this classic Tsumeb occurrence. This piece is valued at $1500 retail. Rob Smith acquired this piece from a man named Karthage who worked in the Tsumeb mine from the 1960 's - 1990 's as a fitter.
