Item Description

Very rare, rich and colorful large combination specimen from the extinct Pb-Cu-Au-Ag-Zn-Mn mine. The rich coating of spherical aggregates of tiny emerald-green malachite crystals is dramatically contrasted by the 4.0 cm bone-white smithsonite crust at the top and and the scattered smithsonite botryoids at the bottom of the piece. An imposing and colorful specimen on the sculptural hefty sawed ore matrix. Ex Bob Reynolds Collection. Bob is a well-known fossil and mineral expert and Curator of the San Bernardino County Museum. A fine and rare complement to the preceeding Mohawk Mine specimen.
