Item Description

A great display piece and a very attractive overall specimen from this famous mine. Velvety, chatoyant acicular "curved" crystals of green Malachite are associated with beautiful blue Chrysocolla and minor matrix to create a lovely two-tone effect. The piece is nearly damage free, save a few small imperfections, but you can display it from several angles and it looks like a completely different specimen depending on how you orient it. A beautiful miniature specimen of this famous material. The large "mushroom" at the top of the piece measures 3.7 cm at its longest dimension. This is older material from around 30 years ago, and would make a great addition to a large cabinet collection, a suite of copper minerals, or a nice piece for a collection of minerals from the Congo. The piece is accompanied by two labels from recently deceased legendary mineral dealer, Larry Conklin.
