Item Description
Starbursts of lustrous, brassy/bronzy marcasite blades are richly and dramatically set on all sides of the sculptural, conical limestone matrix. Bruising to some of the clusters plus the contact on one side approaching the top are noted, but are certainly minimal detractions. 1397 grams or 3.1 pounds mass. Such specimens are relatively uncommon from this abandoned limestone quarry and this is very fine large, rich and showy example from a historic locale.
