Item Description

Mizzonite is a synonym for marialite, a member of the marialite-meionite series, which includes scapolite. Lustrous, dark purple to black crystals to 3 mm of marialite are coated with bright green malachite and richly cover five of six sides of the gossan matrix. This excellent, for the species and locale, minature is from a VERY uncommon California locale in Death Valley and is VERY seldom on the market. Ex John White Collection of Seattle and acquired in October, 1968, according to his faded label.
