Item Description
An old-time, showy and excellent zeolite combination specimen from the Faroe Islands. The vuggy surface is festooned with sharp, glassy, chabazite rhombs, a rich scattering of frosted mesolite spheres and a few glassy stilbite blades. VERY RARE OLD MATERIAL! Zeolites from these island deposits provided much initial study material for the species now of major industrial and scientific import! Ex Philadelphia Academy of Sciences Collection; and has a William Niven label glued to the back, that dates from 1886 to 1895. Classic, old-time combination material. Ipossible to find on market
