Item Description

This is honestly the RICHEST specimen of Mesolite that we've seen from Rupe di Aci Castello. This beautiful small cabinet display specimen features a multitude of lovely snow-white "balls" of Mesolite measuring up to 6 mm across coating a thin layer of underlying host rock matrix. The vast majority of the "balls" are undamaged and are wonderful to view up close. Valued at $500. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#1305). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
