Item Description

Metazeunerite is a rare secondary Cu-Uranyl Arsenate found in the oxidized zones of arsenic-bearing hydrothermal uranium deposits. It commonly originates due to dehydration of zeunerite (MINDAT). This a very RARE and showy thumbnail combination with sharp, lustrous, green Metazeunerite crystals, to 8 mm, associated with sections of lustrous black schorl crystals. Choice and very rare combination material from the Shields Flynn Collection and illustrated on Page 86 of his 2018 self-published book, Minerals of Namibia - From the Collection of Shields and Frances Flynn.
