Item Description

Meyerhofferite, a rare borate, is well-known from the Type Locality - the Mount Blanco Mine in Death Valley. This large, rich, solid two-sided specimen consists of transparent to translucent, lustrous, colorless blades to 2.5 cm. Old-time, choice material from the Paterson Museum Collection, with a 1940 date on the label and formerly on display. This is a very rich large specimen for the locale. Valued at $400-600.
