Microcline (Baveno Twin) (ex Kay Robertson Collection)

Item Description

A rarely seen and fine quality, sharp, lustrous, prismatic, cream colored, prismatic "Baveno Twin" of Microcline from the famous locality at Strzegom (Striegau). One side of the twin is coated by thin crystals and "sprays" of golden-green Epidote or Clinozoisite. GREAT quality, and very hard to find on the market. This is quite possibly the finest Baveno Twin of Microcline that I've seen from this locality. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#4088). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
