Item Description

Nice example of classic and brassy Millerite needles from the old Zollverein coal mine in Germany. This flat-lying cluster extends 3.4 cm across the matrix, with some of the needles reaching and exceeding 1 cm in length. The Millerites are complemented by at least a hundred or so mm-size Siderites that are cream-colored and lustrous. A very good combination piece, this was #10,185 in Kay's collection.
