A rich and showy up to 1.2 cm thick rolling vein of hair-like bronzy millerite needles covers the sculptural small cabinet matrix on this fine specimen from this extinct open pit nicket mine. The side views reveals the mesmerizing golden-bronzy chatoyancy of the needles. These were collected by Canadian collector Marty Lewadny in the late 1990s and few have been on the market in many years! This is a great miniature, and we have seen comparable at shows for anywhere from $500-2500 depending on which dealer booth had it. Ex Chester Lemanski Collection. We just acquired his large collection. Read about Chester at his mindat.org Home Page: https://www.mindat.org/user-461.html. An excellent and rich example of the species and locale.
