Item Description

A beautiful group of the famous Mimetite specimens from the Ojuela Mine featuring, dark yellow colored semi-radial groups sitting on a thin layer of Limonite matrix. The piece is incredibly aesthetic example of these beloved classics! Each Mimetite group is elongated, and while they are not not narrow prisms, they aren't complete "spheres" either, rather somewhere in between. I love the eye-catching distinct resinous luster on the piece and the fact that the Mimetite groups are fairly well-separated and defined makes them all the more enticing. A showy and three-dimensional display specimen of these well-known and fine quality Mimetites. No major damage that I can see, just some peripheral contacts where the piece was removed from the pocket wall. Priced in our inventory at $1,400.
