Mimetite (classic material) (ex Bob Reynolds Collection)

Item Description

A classic example of the famous and revered Mimetites from Cobar in NSW, Australia. These specimens are very easy to recognize for their attractive form, color and beautiful display specimens. This showy small cabinet display specimen features several hexagonal, thick, tabular, greenish-yellow to yellow colored crystals of Mimetite measuring up to 6 mm sitting atop matrix. Most of the crystals are damage-free, though a couple of them are contacted, so the piece is not 100% pristine. These specimens are notably hard to find on market these days, so if you collect Mimetites or worldwide secondary ore minerals, don't pass this one up. For reference, the piece is labeled as coming from the "Elvia" Mine, but I'm sure it's from the Endeavor (Elura) Mine.
