Mimetite from Tsumeb is one of the most classic, desirable and difficult species to obtain in fine specimens. This piece features sharp, rather lustrous, gemmy/translucent, prismatic, hexagonal, beautiful yellow color Mimetite crystals measuring up to 1.3 cm aesthetically sitting on matrix. A very attractive thumbnail specimen, and great quality for the material, with wonderful aesthetics. Tsumeb specimens are rising in value by the minute it seems, and pieces like this are always in demand these days. The piece comes with a label from Miriam and Julius Zweibel of Mineral Kingdom, the elite Tsumeb dealers of the time. The Bank Street address on the label dates it between 1987-1992.
