Mimetite (ex Brian Kosnar Collection)

Item Description

A good looking Mimetite featuring lustrous, golden yellow colored "bursts" of crystals on minor matrix. The crystals are all prismatic in habit, with decent translucency and resinous luster. Tsumeb set the standard for the species as far as I'm concerned, and good Mimetites from this locality and now rather difficult to find on the market. Keep in mind that the value of specimens from Tsumeb increases daily it seems and good specimens from this mine are ALL highly sought after classics.
