Item Description
A rather large, almost perfectly hexagonal Molybdenite crystal is aesthetically perched at the top of a dark sliver of matrix from a little known locality in Morocco. Molybdenite is a significant component for many different steels, though fine specimens like this are far more valuable than the value of the ore. This lustrous, gray-silver, metallic Molybdenite crystal measures 2.3 cm across, with a few subordinate Molybdenite crystals associated with it on and in the matrix. Good specimens come from other noted world localities like Australia, China and Canada, however, this is an excellent large miniature piece from this little heard of locality in Morocco.
