Item Description

The locality of Kara-Oba in Kazakhstan has produced some very attractive ferberite specimens over the years, but VERY RARELY of this apparently unique combination! Equant, sharp, moderately lustrous ferberite crystals are attractively sandwiched between a nodule of bright, silver-metallic, botryoidal molybdenite and a striking pair of two, parallel-growth, water-clear smoky quartz crystals with glassy colorless quartz crystals adjacent. The smokies are complete all-around, nearly pristine, with only very trivial termination wear. Outstanding and showy, very rare combination material from this noted locale. Ex Schlichter Collection.
