Molybdenite incl. in DT Quartz (Chet Lemanski Coll.)

Item Description

Brilliant metallic molybdenite flakes are richly included in one end of this very sculptural large 360-degree doubly terminated quartz crystal from Chile. The strikingly formed lustrous tapered crystal is transparent to translucent and the stepped-growth faces dramatically enhance the piece. Complete all-around and essentially pristine, a couple of contacts, where other crystals once lay, have only trival bruising. Ex Chet Lemanski Collection and acquired from Terry Szenics in 2005. Terry collected these highly unusual combinations in 2004 in Chile. A fine example from the find. UNLIKE most of them, it has not been polished! It is hard to find any natural crystals, such as this.
