Molybdenite on and included inside Quartz

WOW! THIS is a rare molybdenite inclusion specimen -Top-notch combination of Molybdenum and Quartz from the rich, old (pre-1920s) Molybdenum mines in the Kingsgate district. The Quartz is in a cluster of parallel, doubly-terminated crystals that range from totally gemmy to translucent. I have not seen a cluster quite like this from Kingsgate, and the Molybdenite is prolific both as inclusions and as pure metal on the surface. Quite the piece, really. The was formerly in the collections of O. Ivan Lee and Sol Shalevetz before entering Kay's collection as #4842 in 1966. Excellent provenance for this high-quality small cab. valued $750
