Moonstone (Cat's Eye)

Item Description

Moonstone is a varietal name given to the tranlucent Feldspar Labradorite. This particular stone is a "High Dome Oval Cabochon" cut gem, and is one of the very few of it's kind that I have seen. When it is viewed by reflected light, exhibits a faint blue-grey "sheen", and has a metallic golden interior in transmitted light.
