Item Description

A hard to find specimen of very pale pink colored Morganite Beryl from the famous Stewart Mine. Morganites are much rarer than the gorgeous "hot pink" Tourmalines that were found at this mine. This specimen features very sharp, and well-formed, thick, translucent, very pale pink Morganite crystals associated with bright pink colored Tourmaline, minor purple Lepdiolite and an unknown blue mineral (possibly Indicolite). As you can see from the photos, there are several fine quality modifying faces on the specimen, and despite a bit of roughness, it really looks great up close. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#8265). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
