Item Description

Murdochite is a rare Pb-Cu halide secondary mineral found in the oxidized zones of lead-copper deposits. Some of the finest examples come from the famous deposits at Bingham. Tiny sparkly black cube and cuboctahedral crystals are peppered on the scuptural mounded miniaturre cluster of glassy, translucent oxide-tinted quartz points. A rare, rich and fine combination example of the species from the well-known Mex-Tex Mine. Analysed by XRD at University of Arizona.
